From DJI's pages

General practice, not from DJI

These two lines come from a blog of an authorised DJI retailer, not from DJI. DJI's own pages that we read do not give shutter or ND advice.

  • Shutter rule of thumb (180-degree rule): a shutter speed at double your frame rate, for example 1/50 at 24 fps and 1/120 at 60 fps. In bright light an ND filter prevents overexposure so you can keep that shutter speed. Ferntech (DJI retailer, not DJI)
  • ND factor to stops: ND8 is 3 stops, ND16 is 4, ND32 is 5, ND64 is 6. Ferntech (DJI retailer, not DJI)
